A Pilates Reformer class with five reformers and five participants offers a focused, semi-private experience that blends individualized attention with the energy of a small group.

Each participant works on their own reformer, allowing everyone to move continuously while the instructor guides the class through a thoughtfully sequenced, full-body workout. The session typically begins with mindful breathing and gentle warm-up exercises to mobilize the spine and awaken the core. From there, the class progresses into controlled strength work for the legs, glutes, arms, and deep abdominal muscles using the reformer’s springs, carriage, straps, and footbar for resistance and support.

With only five people in the room, the instructor can provide personalized cues, hands-on corrections, and spring adjustments to match individual needs and abilities. Exercises flow from supine to seated, kneeling, and standing positions, emphasizing precision, alignment, balance, and coordination. Modifications and progressions are easily offered, making the class accessible for beginners while still challenging for more experienced movers.
